Customized Intensive EMDR Therapy
We specialize in creating custom intensives for adults and adolescents seeking to process past traumas in a shorter time frame. By utilizing a combination of trauma-focused techniques, including EMDR Therapy, Attachment Work, Inner Child Work, Trauma-Informed Care, Psychodynamic Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more, we help clients identify and work through their past traumatic experiences.
If you feel like you’ve hit a wall in traditional therapy, want to deeply dive into complex topics that may feel overwhelming to address week by week, or are ready to tackle the root issues and move forward, intensives can be the perfect solution for you.
An EMDR Intensive is for You, if
- You are a motivated individual looking to experience deep reflection, change, and growth in a short period of time.
- You have a hectic schedule and have no time for weekly therapy sessions.
- You are a working professional who need therapy to fit into their schedule, not the other way around.
- You are a busy parent who can’t fit weekly therapy into their hectic schedules.
- You are in weekly therapy but feel stuck or on the verge of a breakthrough or if diving deep into tough topics feels too overwhelming in small doses, an intensive might be the solution you’re looking for. Think of it as a healing accelerator.
- You do not want to spend months in therapy.
- You want fast, lasting results in a short amount of time.
- You have been attending counseling, but an issue related to trauma has arisen which your current therapist does not feel trained to manage. You can attend an EMDR intensive as an adjunct to your counselling and then continue your work with your original therapist.
Why EMDR Intensives Work
Intensive therapy allows clients to work through and confront challenges quickly during their time in intensive therapy. This is an excellent healing accelerator; think of it as doing surgery on emotions instead of weekly physical therapy, to quickly transform and overcome something that would take years to process in regular therapy. What may take months or years to work through in individual therapy can be addressed, helping you find rapid relief and get back to what we are meant to do: live and experience joy. Although intensives are rapid, they give you the tools to know how to re-envision your story in a way that feels less distressful.
Each intensive is custom created to meet the individual’s needs and goals. We work diligently to prep you for your intensive and identify goals to help you get the most out of your time in intensive sessions.
Each intensive day consists of 4-5 hours, with a 30-minute break in the middle. However, shorter sessions can be accommodated if needed.

Each intensive day lasts 4-5 hours, with a 30-minute break in the middle to recharge. It’s a deep dive, but we’re here every step of the way to support you.
Before your intensive begins, we’ll conduct thorough mental health assessments to better understand your unique needs. What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the best forms of therapy to target just about everything. Unprocessed traumatic memories often come back in the form of nightmares, flashbacks, unexplained pain or general overwhelm, especially when there are reminders of the event. In an EMDR session, we stimulate the left and right hemispheres of your brain in quick succession (known as bilateral stimulation) through rapid eye movements or sounds and this helps the brain to process the memories.
